11 Days ~ Countdown to Christmas

~Number Please ~

It has been said that the little cottage that houses The Plum Tree is at least 100 years old. The picture below was taken between 1914 and 1922 when it was the McDonough telephone office. The photo shows the operator "Kate Fisher" sitting in front of her switchboard which is now the main room of The Plum Tree.

The windows in the front looks out to the sidewalk and the front door is just to the right. The only evidence that the switchboard was there are pipes in the ceiling which the lines ran through.

This is Whitey, or so that is what we call him. He came to live at The Plum Tree a month or so ago, very thin and dirty. We fed him, talked to him and cared for him until he trusted us. He will let us pet him now, and is very loving although he does like to nip you for no reason. He really is a nice little fellow, was once probably someones pet since he does like humans, he has also be neutered so how he ended up with us we can only guess. Whitey has the most amazing sky blue eyes (can you see them)?

We are currently running a great end of the year sale on almost every item in the store. Savings from 10% to 30% can be found on everything from Christmas decor to furniture.
Hope you enjoy the photos below.
