Mother's Day ~ May 11th

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.

I have read this paragraph before and to me this says it all for all our Mom's. I can imagine this happening in a lot of households across the world and of course only a Mother can pull it off!

So for all you Mom's, Grandmother's, Sisters, Aunts, Nieces and Soon to be Mom's. This Sunday is your day ~ so take that piece of pie!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Hope you enjoy this weeks blog

Exquisite perfume bottles with delicate glass stoppers

Beautiful memory jars

Lots of roses

This week, The Plum Tree is adding a special blog called "Green Side Up with Joy."

Joy is a Master Gardener and has taken over the garden area of The Plum Tree. She is transforming it a litlle at a time with plants, theme gardens, statuary, and her own style. Plants tend to love Joy, some of them I think are goners, just thrive when she plants them in the soil.

Keep up with what is happening in the garden and get well informed on gardening (I know I will be) by clicking on the link in our side bar, called Green Side Up with Joy

Check out this great old key stand, it has a great iron base with keys from long ago!

Unusual wall hangings
Lots of great gardening books

Beautiful vintage prints in simple black frames

More handmade pieces from Tammy & James

Great old chairs and cute green shelfFor an different look, layer your open books, perhaps even tie them together with ribbon ~ an original idea of The Tattered Cat!

This adorable table & picket chair would look so cute in a screened room. Lots of ideas for Mom
Cute little table ~ many uses

We have added lots of vintage garden accessories as well as garden inspired gifts for Mom!

The Tattered Cat dragged in yet another super load of antique maps, old drawers, signs, office equipment and sports memorabilia. I don't know where she finds these things, perhaps in a mouse house?

Boy! I see a lot more pretty things just since I was there last, and that hasn't been that long. I'll stop by sometime this week. Love how you have done some of your pictures.(You'll have to show me.) See ya!
