The Plum Tree finally has a permanant header

If you have been getting the Plum Tree Blog for a while, you probably noticed that I can not make up my mind regarding the header. I'm not trying to confuse everyone by having a different one every time you open it up, and now you won't.

I have the most amazing friends and sometimes wonder what I have done to deserve them or the things they do for me. Well the other day one of the greatest guys I know, Frank Smith presented me with the most wonderful gift, an original painting of The Plum Tree.

The detail on this painting cannot be captured on my camera, but believe me he did not miss a thing. The painting is incredible and so very thoughtful ~ Thank you Frank~

If you are interested in a painting of your home or business, Frank would love to do one for you. Just send me a clear photo via email and I will be glad to get you a quote.

This week, a few of the dealers came in with tons of great things, so I hope you enjoy the pictures and see something you are looking for.

~See you Soon~

This is a wonderful old cabinet with a pretty lacy curtain ~perfect size for a television and would look great on a sleeping porch.

This adorable old child's highchair dish with a little girl pulling two doxie's toward a bearskin rug is reminiscent of the early 20's

It's still Summer and these retro coolers are still usable and fun to collect.

I just love the graphics on these old books, with condition close to mint.

Hot ~ Hot ~ Hot

Well, the lazy days of Summer are upon us, the in between time when we are either going on vacation or getting ready for back to school.

Summers are my most memorable days as a child, summer trips and the adventures that awaited us.

We would all pile into the back of our powder blue 57 chevy station wagon, 3 kids and a very large collie named King and off we'd go!
The fun we had as a family, the anticipation of what was to come, and the places we visited will be etched in my mind forever.

I hope your families get to make some memories this Summer, and as the days get shorter and Summer turns to Fall you too will remember these special days for a life time.

I hope you enjoy this weeks blog, new things are coming in every day.

Long May She Wave ~ Happy 4th Of July

I'm Proud To Be An American
Written By Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, '
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A.
There's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, '
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.
Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July
